Waiting up to a zit right on your nose right on the day of your graduation ceremony sounds like a horrendous idea doesn’t it?  Acne is a problem which plagues many people especially during their formative years or their teens.  It is seen as a sign of growing up but can be very embarrassing for the child or teenager.  The sight of eruptions all over a person’s face can be very unpleasant and can even lead to social trauma in some adults or children.  An acne wash is something that you will find a plenty in the market for combating this issue.

Most people who suffer from acne are those who have an oily skin type.  They must ensure that they do not allow excessive oil to accumulate on their skin.  Those bestowed with this skin type start having a problem with clogged pores as the oil attracts dirt and grime.  “Oil free” and “non-comedogenic” are some key words to spot when choosing an acne wash.

Some of you may be suffering with inflammatory acne.  That acne forms in clusters and comes along with redness in the affected area of the face.  One must use an acne face wash which does not irritate the skin further in those regions.  Look labels on the acne wash which state “non-irritating” or mention that the cleanser will not cause over dryness of the skin.  Using a gentle cleaner versus a scrub is recommended for those with this more severe form of acne.

An acne face wash is not the only solution for your acne problem.  There are medications available over the counter or through prescription to combat the problem.   In conjunction with the acne face wash a cream based medication would ideally be recommended to be applied after wash.  The cleanser should be mild enough not to wash away the medication completely rendering your skin dry and patchy.

Trial and error is often a good way to find the right kind of acne wash for you.  Some very good products may just not be suitable to you and some very inexpensive less known ones might be.  Read the labels properly and take smaller sizes of the acne wash to choose the best product for you.
